When the Compton Traditional Bowhunters began to explore the possibilities of a series of paintings commemorating the legends of traditional bowhunting, we knew wildlife artist Jack Paluh had the talent to make the project come to life. Being an outdoorsman, Jack Paluh can paint the interaction between the hunter and nature. Fred Bear is the subject of this first commissioned print entitled “The Legend Lives On.” Compton Traditional Bowhunters is now offering 300 limited premier edition prints. Each beautiful 18 X 24 numbered print is personally signed by the artist. When the 300 prints are sold they will be gone, so order yours while supply lasts.

The ferrules are stainless steel and the blades are steel, made by renown broadhead maker and Compton member Bill Semerod. The design was based on an idea of a head that looked similar to a Saxton Pope head and like the broadhead in our Compton Traditional Bowhunters logo. Whether you're an official measurer for the Compton Traditional Bowhunting Archives or you just want to measure your own trophies at home, these official Compton measuring tapes and cables are what you need. The measuring tapes have the Compton logo on the side and are available in the standard 'lip' end and the convenient 'ring' end. You'll find it best to have one of each. The cables are perfect for measuring sharp curves and circumferences. Simply lay the cable along the curve, mark the start and stop point and measure with one of the Compton tape measures. The flat termination point and the clip end on the other end make accurate measurements easier than ever.
