Bryan Burkhardt

My name is Bryan Burkhardt. I currently live in Michigan with my wife Kim of 32 years. I am honored and humbled to run for President of Compton Traditional Bowhunters for another term. I have been a member of Compton Traditional Bowhunters since 2002 and became a life member in 2006.

I was fortunate to grow up in a bowhunting family. My father shot his first whitetail with a recurve in 1961 and served as a great mentor for myself and four brothers. I have been bowhunting with traditional equipment for 47 years now. I am blessed to have had the opportunity to bowhunt several exciting destinations, from the Arctic to Africa and I absolutely love the challenge and adventure bowhunting with traditional equipment brings.

I spent 35 years at General Motors and retired in 2019 as the executive responsible for global logistics operations. I am currently the executive director for the Automotive Logistics Executive Committee, which is an industry association representing all major automakers.

I am proud of what Compton has accomplished over the past two years. We’ve increased our membership by over 21%, we’ve taken our Youth program to the next level, we’ve formed a Traditional Hunt Committee focused on preserving and promoting traditional bowhunting opportunities and we’re close to publishing the 2nd edition of the Traditional Bowhunting Archives book.

Thank you for your continued support.
