Nick Dedaker Scholarship
Nick Dedaker was many things to many people, including a great husband, father, grandfather, brother, friend, teacher, coach, and hunting buddy. Everyone who had the fortunate opportunity to meet Nick Dedaker walked away feeling like they’d made a real friend. Two of his passions were education, where he spent a career teaching and coaching, and The Compton Traditional Bowhunters youth program, where he served many years as Director and Board member. We felt it was only right to start a scholarship fund in his name. The amount of the Scholarships may increase depending on donations received to the fund, however at a minimum we will have two $1,000 scholarships, one for a young man, one for a young lady. Applications must be postmarked by May 1st, with the winners to be announced Saturday evening at the Rendezvous the third full weekend in June.
If you would like to donate to this fund, please click here. Compton Traditional Bowhunters, LTD is a 501(c)3 Charitable Organization, and as such your donations are tax deductible.
Criteria: Two $1000 scholarships are to be awarded to a graduating high school senior or current college student who is either a member of Compton or has at least one parent or grandparent who is a member of Compton in good standing. Those interested in pursuing a degree related to Natural resources or conservation are preferred, however, any field of study is acceptable.

All applications will be judged by a panel selected by the Compton Board. In addition to the written application, finalists may be interviewed by the scholarship committee.
Please submit the following information preferably in electronic form; however, handwritten applications can be mailed to the address listed below. Please Include the category titles on your application. The entire application is restricted to a maximum of four typewritten/handwritten pages.
